Veronica “Ronnie” Montgomery-Roper is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida with over thirty years of experience supporting children, families, teens, adults, couples, and the aging population. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working with individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, abuse and neglect, grief and loss, relationship conflicts, and other relational issues.
Ronnie is well-versed in a variety of evidence-based techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and other eclectic models. Her approach is grounded in the belief that therapy should be tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
Central to Ronnie’s practice are Christian, faith-based, and spiritual principles and values. She integrates these core concepts into her work, drawing on scriptural teachings such as:
- LOVE: "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." (Mark 12:31 KJV)
- PEACE: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27 KJV)
- SERVICE: "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45 NIV)
Ronnie seamlessly combines these Christian principles with evidence-based treatment modalities, creating a non-judgmental, safe space where all individuals can share openly and begin their healing journey. Her therapeutic approach begins with a thorough assessment of each client, followed by the creation of a collaborative, individualized treatment plan. She is dedicated to providing the support needed to help clients achieve their goals and move forward in their lives.
"We deeply long for connection, to be seen and known for who we are without rejection. Yet, we are often terrified of the vulnerability required to experience that true connection." – Curt Thompson, The Soul of Shame
Do you ever wonder if your presence truly matters? Are you quick to offer grace and compassion to others, yet find it difficult to extend the same kindness to yourself? Perhaps you long to be fully seen and loved for who you really are, but the idea of being vulnerable feels overwhelming, or maybe you're unsure where to even begin. And maybe, in the midst of it all, you’re still discovering who you truly are. Therapy offers a supportive space where you can explore these questions, gain clarity, and grow into a more authentic and fulfilling life.
In our sessions, we’ll focus on you as a whole—mind, body, and spirit—building a foundation of trust and safety from which to explore your story. I believe that within each of us lies the potential for hope, resilience, and transformation. The decision to seek therapy is a powerful act of strength and commitment to your own well-being.
My therapeutic approach is experiential, emotionally focused, and rooted in attachment theory, drawing from a variety of evidence-based techniques. I’m also well-versed in the Enneagram, which I find to be a valuable tool for self-discovery and understanding relationships. In addition, I’ve personally navigated deep questions of faith and found peace in Christianity, and I’m here to support you in your own spiritual journey, should you choose to explore it.
It’s essential to feel at ease with your therapist, and I’d love to offer you a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit for working together. Let’s begin the journey toward your true self, together.
